On the discussion tab on this page, create a "new post" and answer this prompt:
The trial was a very emotional time for Jem, Scout, and the entire town. They all learned about right, wrong, character, and justice by being a part of it. When Atticus took the case, he was told he had "everything to lose". Now that the verdict is in, life has to resume, but will it be normal? Think of some of the main players in this part of the book (Atticus, Jem, Scout, Tom Robinson, Bob Ewell, Aunt Alexandra), and explain how they feel about the outcome of the trial based on your knowledge of their character before and during the trial. Then based on our characters lives before the trial and what they learn during it, make 3 predictions about what you think will happen in the rest of the book concerning conflict between the characters and plot. Your journal should be very detailed with descriptions from the text. If needed, use quotations. Your response should be at least 20 lines in the reply box before you post. With character discussions and predictions, this shouldn't be a problem.
